Lori N. Star was born and raised in Houston, TX. After receiving her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, she moved to Nashville and completed her B.S. in Nursing at Belmont University. Following her undergraduate studies in nursing, she worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of clinical settings, including, Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care, and Postpartum/Newborn Nursery units. Lori was nominated as Tennessee Nurse of the Year. Lori completed her Master of Science in Nursing and graduated with a 4.0 GPA in the top of her class and was accepted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor's Society. Lori began her career as Nurse Practitioner in Houston where she worked at an OBGYN office caring for those with limited access to healthcare. Lori has a deep rooted passion for women’s health, and is dedicated to the health, wellness, and safety of both mom and baby. Lori is a certified family nurse practitioner. In 2018, Lori was thrilled to return to Nashville to join Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine. During her free time, Lori loves cooking without recipes, volunteering, yoga, exploring Nashville, watching documentaries, and spending time with her spouse and twin boys
